Chinese Calligraphy and Ink Art
We learned about the Scholar's Four Treasures: ink stick, ink stone, brush and paper. We learned the 8 basic strokes for Chinese character writing and practiced on magic water paper. The next day we made ink by grinding the ink stick on the ink stone and learned some Chinese Ink Painting techniques: such as bamboo, orchid, chrysanthemum, and cherry blossom.
